Rio de Janeiro Stays

Rio is known for its beaches, nightlife, and laid-back vibe. Here’s where to stay for the best experience:

  • Ipanema: This is the LGBTQ+ hub of Rio, especially around Posto 9. It’s vibrant, safe, and close to nightlife. Check out:

    • Sol Ipanema Hotel: Directly facing Ipanema Beach, it’s welcoming, stylish, and perfectly located for beach lovers.

Bahia (Salvador) Stays

Bahia is all about culture, history, and vibrant energy. Here’s where to stay for an authentic experience:

    • Pousada des Arts Hotel: Quirky, colorful, and welcoming. It’s close to the beach and all the nightlife action.

Whatever your budget, Brazil has something for you. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Mid-Range: Ibis Budget São Paulo and Ipanema Inn offer comfort and style without breaking the bank.

Personal Experience

One of my favorite stays was at the Sol Ipanema Hotel. Waking up to the view of Ipanema Beach was unreal, and the vibe was so laid-back and welcoming. In São Paulo, I loved the bohemian feel of Vila Madalena. Staying at We Hostel Design was a great way to meet other travelers and enjoy the local art scene. And if you’re heading to Bahia, staying in Rio Vermelho is the way to go—there’s nothing like the energy and nightlife there.
